How can I best bridge the gap on lack of communication between people working in the event industry so that the day of the event runs smoothly?

This has always been an issue that people have to work on in that field on a daily basis and I know there can be a better way to keep everyone instantly informed of spur of the moment changes to the schedule or anything else that happens to change at the last minute on event days.

I really enjoyed working on this project because I can see myself wanting to create a fully finished version of that project in the future because I do feel like the industry would benefit from having a platform to communicate on that could potentially work offline to provide millions of workers at all festivals the ability to seamlessly communicate even after all the patrons have arrived.
